Bioceramic development for agricoltural and medical sector

Project in partnership with Progefarm (Novara, Italy) and Agrinnova (Turin Department of Agriculture)

Development of new materials based on polyurethane membranes for the medical and agricultural sectors.

New products were developed based on membranes composed of ceramic materials dispersed in polyurethane matrices, capable of emitting infrared rays and integrated with microorganisms. 

The new products were focused on the agro-environmental sector, in line with recent regulations on the sustainable use of agro-pharmaceuticals.

In the medical sector a cream containing bioceramics and lactobacilli has been commercially launched to treat human fungal diseases.
